- monitoring the implementation of admission plans both within the framework of budget, contractual and targeted;
- monitoring, accounting, analysis and assessment of the state of training of undergraduates and doctoral students, young scientists at the university based on the results of certifications and scientific achievements of students;
- organization of work on the preparation of documentation for newly created dissertation councils, as well as on the opening of new dissertation councils for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);
- monitoring the implementation of individual plans of undergraduates and doctoral students, postdoctoral students;
- checking master's theses for the presence of illegal borrowings using a licensed program to which the University is subscribed;
- carrying out a complex of works on the organization of the scientific process of postgraduate education (control over the timely referral of students of postgraduate education to a scientific internship);
- control over the implementation of orders, orders, instructions and instructions of higher-level organizations, decisions of the Academic Council of the University and the Rector's Office on the organization, provision and conduct of the scientific process in graduate and doctoral studies, postdoctoral studies;
- development and distribution of intra-university instructions (instructional letters), regulations and others to other structural divisions of the university;
- normative documents on the organization, planning and implementation of the process of training and certification of scientific personnel;
- the formation of a state-commissioned application for the targeted training of PhD doctors;
- issuing orders in the course of OPiANK's activities;
- conclusion of additional agreements with foreign universities for scientific internships for students of postgraduate education;
- filling in the licensing database for the opening of new master's and doctoral PhD programs;
- preparation of an annual report on the work of the department.
