Training, specialty 5V050400 – “Journalism” at the State University Shakarim Semey conducted since 1999. From 1999 to 2010, carried out education in two departments: the Department of the Kazakh Philology – in groups with the Kazakh language learning; Department of Russian Philology – in groups with Russian language of instruction. In 2010, training focused on the Department of the Kazakh Philology, and in 2013 established the Department of Journalism and practical Kazakh language. This year, the Department of Journalism has been working in the Department of the Kazakh Philology. Training specialists for all time of its existence, provide highly qualified specialists of the above departments, including professors, doctors and candidates of sciences , senior lecturers and practicing journalists , representing urban and republican mass media – radio, television , print and electronic media. Over the years the profession has trained about 300 graduates, most of whom work in the media in Kazakhstan and neighboring countries as correspondents, reporters, press officers, producers, editors, public relations specialists, advertising agents and so forth. Among they Omarkhan Zhanzhigit , Olzhas Nurekenov, Berik Khasenov, Muhamedrahimov Rustem, Kosanov Aibek and others.

Preparation of highly competitive professionals in Applied Journalism able to competently address the real problem of formation of public opinion and the transformation of society in accordance with modern methods of collecting and processing information, policy analysis, economic, social, legal processes, as well as the formation of cultural, educated, educated person with an active citizenship.

  1. To introduce the educational process in the system “Moodle” and other communication and interactive technology.
  2. The invitation of leading Russian scientists (1) and read the online lectures (2).
  3. To intensify research work of the teaching staff in the form of articles in journals with the highest impact factors (1), periodicals (15) articles, the publication of teaching AIDS (3).
  4. To send 20% of lecturers at the training.
