The Only CNAS-Certified Technical Expert in Kazakhstan – at Shakarim University

Shakarim University has become the first university in Kazakhstan to have an officially recognized representative of the global certification community, capable of implementing advanced international standards in the national education, science, and production system.

This strategic breakthrough grants the university access to global certification markets, scientific research, and cutting-edge technologies.

Taking on this historic role is Erasyl Dulatbay, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation at Shakarim University, who has officially obtained the status of a CNAS (China National Accreditation Service) Technical Expert. As of today, he is the first and only specialist in Kazakhstan of this level in the field of organic certification.

The expert status was awarded at the CNAS Certification and Standardization Center at Northwest A&F University (China)—one of the leading agricultural universities in the country.

What Does It Mean to Be a CNAS-Certified Technical Expert?

The CNAS Expert Status represents the highest level of recognition in the field of certification and accreditation on the international stage. CNAS is China’s only third-party accreditation body with legal authority. Its accredited laboratories and certification bodies are recognized worldwide, making test results and certification reports highly reliable and respected across the globe. This enhances product competitiveness in international markets and removes trade barriers.

As a CNAS expert, Erasyl Dulatbay is now part of a global expert community that defines and develops worldwide standards for quality and compliance.

Global Authority & Influence in Key Areas

His certified status grants extensive authority and influence in the following areas:

  • International auditing and certification of enterprises, laboratories, and research & production centers;
  • Decision-making on product compliance with global quality standards—critical for the international expansion of Kazakhstani products;
  • Development of certification standards and regulations, including participation in drafting new frameworks for organic agriculture and sustainable development;
  • Collaboration with global research centers, multinational corporations, and investment funds;
  • Attracting investments to the university and even to Kazakhstan—thanks to the certified expert status, the university can participate in international grant programs and secure funding for scientific and educational advancements;
  • Creating innovative educational programs—Shakarim University gains a stronger position in developing courses and internships that attract international students and researchers;
  • Advancing practice-oriented research, valuable for businesses and government sectors, with applications in food production, agriculture, environmental monitoring, logistics, and manufacturing.

This achievement opens new strategic collaboration opportunities with leading global universities, research institutions, and industrial corporations. The university now has a unique opportunity to become a key certification hub in the region and across Kazakhstan, specializing in international certification, professional training, and cutting-edge technological development.

According to Duman Orynbekov, Rector of Shakarim University, the CNAS Expert Status confirms not only the professionalism of Erasyl Dulatbay but also the strategic position of the university in the global scientific and educational arena. This milestone enhances the university’s prestige, expands its capabilities, and builds a strong foundation for training specialists who can thrive in the global scientific, educational, and economic environment.

Shakarim University takes great pride in the achievement of Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation, Erasyl Dulatbay, and is confident that with such professionals, the university will soon be setting new international benchmarks.
