On April 17, a National Subject Olympiad was held at Shakarim University for students of higher educational institutions across the country under the educational program "Thermal Power Engineering," organized by the Department of "Technical Physics and Thermal Power Engineering" at the Physics and Chemistry Science Research School.

The competition, aimed at deepening students' theoretical knowledge and developing their practical skills, gathered participants from all corners of Kazakhstan.

Students' knowledge was assessed both individually and in teams, with the best participants and teams awarded special diplomas.

Thus, in the individual category, the first place was won by Zhasulan Danibekov (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University), the second place was shared by Abilkhan Baytekov (Toraygirov University) and Nikita Nurgaliyev (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University), and the third place was awarded to Danil Soroka (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. Satpayev), Nurasyl Tolembay (G. Daukeev Almaty Energy and Communications University), and Mukhamet Nadirov (L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University).

In the team competition, the first place went to the team of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Zhasulan Danibekov, Nikita Nurgaliyev, Mukhamet Nadirov), the second place to Toraygirov University (Abilkhan Baytekov, Ilya Kondratovich, Vladimir Romasy), and the third place to E. Boketov Karaganda University (Ariana Potapova, Almat Mukhamedrakhim).
