Minor «Radiation safety and human ecology»
Becquerel's discovery showed that background radiation is constantly present in the environment. Man-made artificial radiation sources increase the background level, creating a certain additional load. Recently, people have developed a fear of radiation, so knowledge and understanding is the best countering fear. Relying only on knowledge in radiation safety issues, it is possible to resist inaccurate information. This module makes it possible to understand the edge where radiation really becomes life-threatening.

The purpose of the module is to form in students the basic concepts of the mechanism of interaction between ionizing radiation and living organisms, as well as the principles and norms of radioecological regulation.

The course introduces the main sections of the use of the basics of rationing, identification of radiation sources for personnel and the population to ensure safe life. The course introduces the main directions in the development of "green" technologies, both in the world and in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
