The Scientific Center «History and Archeology» is a structural unit of the Shakarim Semey University, as well as the main expert, research center on history, archeology and ethnography in the territory of the Abai region.
The purpose and main tasks of the Scientific Center: The main purpose of the scientific center «History and Archeology» is to study the current problems of the history, archeology and ethnography of the region.
The Scientific Center «History and Archaeology» sets itself the following tasks to study the current problems of the history of the region:
- Study of topical problems of the history of the region, which are an integral part of national history;
- Scientific coordination of archaeological and ethnographic expeditions;
- Development of the scientific, practical and historiographical base of the center;
- Establishing links with scientific centers in the territory of the republic and neighboring neighboring countries in neighboring regions;
- Participation in the competition of grant projects announced by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
- Formation of the center as a scientific and practical platform for students of the specialty «History»;
- Implementation of historical ideological articles of the Head of State and legislative documents and programs adopted by the Government;
- Preparation for the publication of scientific publications related to the history of the region.
