On March 1, the regional scientific conference “Shakarim Okulary” was held for school and college students. This traditional event is aimed at supporting and developing youth research activities. The conference provided participants with the opportunity to showcase their scientific achievements, exchange knowledge, and receive expert evaluations of their work.

This year, the conference was held for the ninth time and covered engineering, physics and mathematics, natural sciences, pedagogy, economics, humanities, and philology. Each section was led by experienced lecturers, doctors, and candidates of sciences. The works were evaluated based on the relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, depth of research, and practical significance.

Elena Yevlampiyeva, the coordinator of the Center for Scientific Research Organization, introduced participants to the conference regulations, key directions, and goals of the event.

Shakarim University’s Vice-Rector for Science, Zhanar Kalibekkyzy, congratulated the conference participants, emphasizing the importance of scientific research among young people and the high quality of the presented works. Specialist of the Marketing and Communications Center, Kuanysh Akhmetov, introduced the university’s history, educational programs, and opportunities available for future students.

This year, around 200 students from schools and colleges in the region participated in the conference. Research on environmental safety, innovative technologies, and artificial intelligence topics attracted particular interest.

Based on the conference results, winners and prizewinners were awarded diplomas, commemorative gifts, and certificates. The best works were recommended for publication in a scientific collection.
