Relevance:

In the event of a threat of coronavirus infection spread, the competence of a teacher in emergency situations as a basic skill of teaching staff is considered as a universal tool for ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process. A person faces difficulties in very complicated social situations that require more complex adaptation and understanding of life issues, and constructive decision-making. Prolonged stress leads not only to mental disorders, but also to somatic ones. Their action is characterized by a number of adverse factors in long-term stress, which include: high levels of stress, risk, threats to a person’s core value system, inability to cope with stress, and low personal resistance to psychological shocks. Analysis of the last factor associated with personal qualities states to be important. The individual differences in resistance to stressful situations vary largely.

The development of professional competencies of teachers in the industry of higher and postgraduate education in case of force majeure allows furthering addressing the problems and difficulties of a person, and providing psychological and pedagogical support, by taking into account the specifics of psychological services in general education institutions.

The importance of the project in the national and international scope is determined by the expected results aimed at improving the social situation of students, undergraduates, doctoral students, teachers and other university staff in case of force majeure, providing social support and protection for university staff. Students, undergraduates, teachers and other university staff in the event of force majeure, as well as other participants of the educational process: teachers-psychologists, social educators, secondary school teachers and other persons concerned are consideres as target consumers of the project outcomes.


Target:

To study the professional competencies of teachers of higher and postgraduate education institutions in case of force majeure, as well as to analyze and exchange positive experience to arrange educational process.


Expectation:

1. Publications at least 2 (two) articles in a scientific publication indexed in the Arts and Humanities Citation Index or Social Sciences Citation Index of the Web of Science database or with a CiteScore percentile in the Scopus database of at least 35.
2. Publication of a collective (with a contribution of a postdoctoral student of at least 6 p.p.,) in Russian in domestic publishing house Bilim or at least 5 (five) articles and (or) reviews in peer-reviewed foreign and (or) domestic publications recommended by the Control Committee
3. The social and economic effect of the research outcomes is determined by its impact on the enrichment of modern psychological and pedagogical science, and contribution to the development of teachers’ professional competencies in force majeure situations.
4. The applicability of scientific results is determined by the need to modernize the system of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at the formation of professional competencies of teachers.
5. Dissemination of the research results among potential users, academic community and the general public will be carried out on the basis of issuing manuscripts and reports on the research topic, methodological recommendations, and a collective monograph.


Result:

Official documents on the subject of the project are studied and analyzed. Identified problematic issues on the topic of the study. Research and analysis of advanced psychological and pedagogical experience in the development of professional competence of teachers in force majeure situations both in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad. Prepared one article.
