A roundtable discussion on "National Unity and Interethnic Interaction in the Context of Regional Characteristics" was held at Shakarim University.

Opening the event, the university's Vice-Rector for Strategy and Social Development, Askar Kasymov, emphasized that interethnic harmony and unity in Kazakhstan play a crucial role in maintaining social stability and strengthening national identity.

The roundtable was attended by the Deputy Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Abai Region, Nazereke Akkhozina, a representative of the Council of Veterans of the Abai Region, Kusmiliya Nurkasym, professor of the History Department at Shakarim University, PhD Mukhtarbek Karimov, professor of the History Department, PhD Amantai Isauly, Head of the "Social and Humanitarian Disciplines" Department at Alikhan Bokeikhan University, PhD Aman Rakhmetullin, as well as students. The participants discussed the current state of interethnic relations and their regional specifics.

Additionally, international students of the university, Shynadil Subadil, Muhammad Shahid Usama, and Shakhzoda Javlanbekova, presented a report on "Interethnic Relations in Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Youth". They highlighted the peaceful nature of interethnic relations in Kazakhstan and stressed the importance of education, the state language, and culture in strengthening connections among young people.

As a result of the roundtable, several proposals were put forward to strengthen national unity and preserve interethnic harmony, taking regional characteristics into account.
